Greetings to all you. May you have a nice day ahead. Hold on, I'm not going to lecture you on how you should take care of your skin but that exactly is what I am going to do right now. You know, girls and acne are the common problem among us. It is like lumrah kehidupan Geez, pardon me for my rojak-ness use of language because I am running out of words #ineedamindboost I have figured out these things on my own when I was wondering what it could actually be for my acne to break out, that is enough for my baffling. Here are the most surprising but oh-not-so-surprising things that might trigger your acne to break out.

You like/eating spicy foods - You know, spicy foods often contain tomatoes and peppers, which that can be an irritant to some people, throwing off their skins pH levels and triggering breakouts. However, it is not just spicy foods that can irritate your skin. Some people have an allergy to some kind of foods such as dairy products and seafoods.

What you can do: Take a break from eating spicy foods (or whatever you have been eating a lot of that you think could be contributing to your acne) for a month/for a while and take some time to notice some changes to your face.

Using products that contain pore-clogging ingredients - Mineral oil is a super-heavy moisturizing elements found in some products, but it is also known to clog your pores and break your acne out.

What you can do: Make sure all the skin care products you are using has been specifically formulated not to clog your pores. Then, if you are using it continuously and your breakouts continue to get worse, make an appointment with your dermatologist, as you could be finding some solution on what might causing your acne to breaking out.

You are scrubbing/washing your skin way too hard - A lot of people with acne think that the more you scrub/wash your skin with a washcloth, the smoother your skin will be, but in reality, the problem will only inevitably get worse. What happens when you do that is you scrub the active acne and the blemish bacteria gets spread across the skin, worsening the condition.

What you can do: Gently wash and moisturize your face with a gentle yet effective system (cleanser, toner, moisturizer) that contains pore-clearing ingredients.

Stop picking at your pimples - It's tempting in the moment, but it is never a good idea, because it's impossible to pick your own pimple and not make a red mark that could turn into a scar. Even worse, when you try to press the plug or puss out of your pore, you will cause the acne to break out even worse.

What you can do: Challenge yourself not to pick or even touch your face for unnecessary reasons. By not touching your face works wonders for your skin and allowing your zits to heal on their own leaves your skin scar-free. Let your skin breath on their own.

You are not releasing your stress that has been pent-up recently - Stress triggers acne and acne results in more stress. Basically, when you are under pressure, your skin produces stress hormones, that can stimulate your oil glands to increase oil production and clogs pores.

What you can do: Take time out of your busy schedule to focus on yourself, look at my previous post on how you gonna enjoy some personal time, < POST > Those can be some great ways to release your stress.

You are constantly touching your face - Anything that can trap sweat and bacteria against your skin and clog your pores can cause zits to crop up. Also, touching your face or resting your chin in your hand while you're sitting at your desk can transfer bacteria from your hand onto your face and brew blemishes.

What you can do: Seriously, it is super easy to do.  Just keep your hands away from your face.

You are not washing your face/body constantly - Skipping the shower or not washing your face, at the very least, allows the makeup, dirt, bacteria, and oil that was already on your skin mix with sweat all of which will be causing breakouts to brew.

What you can do: Wipe your face, chest, and neck area with facial wipes, like Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, to remove your makeup. Then, if you do not have time to shower immediately, use another fresh facial wipe to clear away any sweat and bacteria on your skin to minimize the chance of new pimples popping up/ breaking out.
