Greetings to all of you and may you have a nice day ahead. You know, one of my all-time favorite questions was to describe "my perfect day"and I thought it would be fun to talk about my idea of a perfect day, from start to finish. No day is perfect as something always seems to go wrong. Little or big there is always a flaw. That is what I always believe and probably will always will. Some days come close though and some days are just so wonderful that they seem perfect. They seem like the best day you have ever had in your life. That does not mean they are but they do come close to it.

My idea of a perfect day?

For me, my kind of idea of a perfect day would look like is always the start of a good day. Even if the heat caught me up in a mess, it is still a good day for me. No classes and no worries, I always sleep in late at night, and I usually become nocturnal most of the time. There was a time I went to bed early in the morning when everyone was about to wake up from sleep, that would be my sleeping time. Kids, do not this at home, it is unhealthy. Most of the time I would be alone in my room, I would turn on some music to liven up the mood, that is always a good start to a good day.

My perfect day would start by me waking up early, knowing the fact that I am not a morning person, feeling refreshed and restored after having a good sleep. I have not had a relaxing night of sleep in months and often awaken far later than I had planned, feeling guilty, stiff, and still sleepy. That day would be the day where I would wake up feeling good and enthusiastic. After a hot shower and I would put on a comfortable outfit. My morning routine is a usual one, with a cup of hot tea followed by breakfast at the table while scrolling up my phone. An omelette with waffles or homemade cinnamon rolls sounds very nice. A fulfilling breakfast to start my day.

After that, I will go for a walk around the park nearby. I feel sleepy after lunch and that leaves the long lazy slide into the afternoon. Sometimes I feel like taking a nap after some workout routines, so I will lie down on my bed, close my eyes, and relax. Thinking about all of this now, it sounds more like what I always intend to do when I go on vacation. In reality, I sleep until 10AM, try to squeeze everything in on this schedule, and end up feeling frustrated and angry. Scratch all of these ideas.

All of us dream of the perfect life. All of us yearn for a perfect day to say the least. But how many of us have the idea of what the perfect day means for us. When I was a kid, I thought every day was perfect, but then as I grew up I stopped “fantasizing” as one might say. However, one does think from time to time, what the perfect day for me might be like. Will it just be having loads of money, or peace of mind, or a weekend spent like I would want it to?

Now, there is nothing like perfect. But yes, there is something like ideal. Close to perfect I might say. Obviously, there will be a good book, a great movie, preferably at home, good foods and just the right amount of tea on that day. And yes, all my laundry done on that day. But I wonder; there might have so many perfect days and perfect moments; but we might have missed it because we were thinking of actually having a planned perfect day.

I get back home and the house feels warm. I lay myself around on the bed probably watching some videos or movies. I have freshly washed sheets, and cleans myself and washed the makeup off my face easily, do my night skincare routine and I am making my way to snuggle up on my bed to call it off a day.

Do you have any ideas of how your perfect day would be like?

Love, Syfka
